Objective of NMMS Scholarship 2024

The main objective of this scholarship is to provide deserving students from economically disadvantaged groups with financial aid scholarships of Rs.12,000 a year in order to motivate them to register in secondary and higher education.

• The primary goal of establishing this scholarship is to reduce the class 8 dropout rate.

• Class 9 students receive a one time scholarship payment of Rs.12,000 for the duration of an academic year.
• The scholarship is extended each year until the student completes Class 12 of the Higher Secondary level of study provided that they are consistently promoted into higher classes.

Eligibility Criteria of NMMS Scholarship 2024

Some of the eligibility criteria of this scholarship is given below:

• Applicants for this scholarship must be students who register in Class 9 after receiving a clear promotion from Class 8 and possess a minimum GPA of 55% or above.
• The applicants must be registered in government, local body or government aided schools.
• The applicants must achieve a minimum grade point average of 60% on the class 10 board test to continue receiving financial aid for further secondary school.
• The scholarship recipient must successfully advance from class 11 on the first try with a score of 55% marks or equivalent in order to continue the scholarship in class 12. For students who fall within the SC/ST category.
• The applicant’s yearly household income cannot exceed 1.5 lakh rupees.
• Additionally, this MCM grant is not available to students attending NVS, KVS, Sainik institutions or private schools.
